Meghan Blake, LVT

Practice Manager

Meghan Blake’s love for animals began at a very young age when she frequently brought home random animals to nurse back to health much to her parents’ dismay. After attending various colleges to obtain a psychology degree, she moved to Pittsburgh, PA to enroll in The Vet Tech Institute in 2010. In 2012, she graduated and moved back to Richmond, VA to begin her career in emergency medicine. While the ER was her primary focus she also did relief work with the internal medicine, neurology, dermatology, and oncology services. She has taught a number of continuing education lectures on various subjects in addition to participating in career days at local elementary and middle schools.

In 2016 she and her family moved to Suffolk, VA where she continued to work in emergency medicine until 2023. In her spare time, she likes to watch movies, crochet, read, and go exploring with her husband and 2 children. They have 1 cat named Creepasaurus Rex and 2 dogs, Burton Guster and Shawn Spenstar.
